For as long as there has been art, clay has been amongst the most powerful mediums through which artists have expressed their creativity. In this class you will make a figurative study of a head or body and you will learn realistic proportions. You will then be free to transform, exaggerate or add details to your piece. We will be using self-drying clay so the pieces will not be fired in a kiln. You can finish them with a choice of pigments and epoxy /varnishes to create patterns, patinas or faux-finishes in the artistic style of your choice. This class is suitable for students of all levels !
