In this workshop students will be introduced to the way light can transform any visual image
The instructor will give students two pencil shading exercises to help them understand how light can create focal points and dramatic effects.
Using photocopies provided by the instructor they will study the way the Italian artist Caravaggio used light in his paintings.
They then will experiment with shading the same photocopied line drawings to create different lighting effects.
