Karina Pajuelo was born and raised in Peru. She discovered mosaics in her early twenties. In 2006, she started working for Mosaika, one of the biggest mosaic manufacturers in North America. She has collaborated on many mosaics made for airports, subways, schools, bus stations, including 9 mosaics from artist Chuck Close, made for the recent extension of the New York Metro.
She has taken classes with master mosaics like Giulio Menossi, Enzo Tinarelli, Luca Barberini, Marcelo de Melo, etc. Karina’s works have been in exhibition in Italy, in “Palazzo de la Magnifica Thadea” and “Museo del Fiume”.
