This course is for anyone who is interested in working with clay. It encompasses beginner students to persons with experience in hand building, looking for a place to advance their skills, or to work on a special project. All forms of hand building will be taught. Students will learn the process from raw clay to finished product – building, drying, loading a kiln, bisque firing, glazing, decorating and the final firing to maturity. Students will be taught at their own skill level to develop their creativity and encouraged to complete at least one fully glazed piece by the course’s completion.
